ALCHEMY Ceremonial Cacao is a plant medicine from Guatemala. It comes from the magical humans at Ruk’u’x’Ulew.

A Mayan indigenous women owned collective. They hand peel the cacao beans weaving their loving intention and devotion into to the medicine so that when she arrives at your heart, she is full of this divine energy and love.

Cacao has been used for thousands of years in ceremony and ritual within countries such as Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, Costa Rice, Equador and Columbia.

It is chocolate in its most raw form. Unprocessed and filled with incredible vitamins, minerals and magical properties. Ceremonial cacao can open your heart, connect you into your emotional body, deepen your intuition, open up creative channels, energise, it is grounding and she can carry your prayers and intentions. She is pure heart medicine.

I think the journey with cacao is a personal one and what you recieve from this medicine might be different to someone else. It is really a practice of tuning into how she makes you feel.

I speak about cacao as a she as she is a spirit. A plant being with feminine energy. You can ask her questions and listen for answers.

Ideally drink her on an empty stomach (no less than 2 hours after food)

Dosing Guidelines

Small Dose - 5-10g

Medium Dose - 10-20g

Ceremonial Dose - 30-42g

(if this is your first time with cacao I recommend starting lower to find your best dose)

Drinking Your Cacao / Create a sacred space where you can drink. Send gratitude into your cup of cacao and drink it mindfully, slowly sipping and letting all your senses become alive to this medicine. Adding in any other practices that feel aligned such as meditation, mantra, journalling, art, movement, singing.

I also have videos on two other methods of preparing cacao (however, the above is my preferred way)

BLENDER METHOD

CUP METHOD

What is Ceremonial Cacao?

Ceremonial Cacao has been used for thousands of years in rituals, healing and celebrations. It is chocolate in its most raw, unprocessed form. Picked from the cacao tree, each bean hand peeled before being pressed into blocks.

Its use can be traced back almost 2000 years ago by ancient tribes in Mexico and Guatemala. The cacao we use for our journey is sourced from Guatemala and comes from an indigenous women’s collective Ruk’u’x Ulew.

Cacao translates to food of the gods, and for very good reason.

Ceremonial Cacao is extremely nutritionally dense. It is rich in proteins, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants such as -

MAGNESIUM - supports healthy blood flow and is rich in iron content

PHENYLETHYLAMINE - Neurotransmitter that increases cognitive function, focus and attention span.

ANANDAMIDE - The BLISS molecule an endocannabanoid that is the powerful substance behind the feelings of joy and heart opening experienced from cacao.

OXYTOCIN - The bonding hormone, related to feelings of trust, love and inner peace

SERATONIN AND DOPAMINE - The happiness molecule - help to regulate mood, sleep, memory, digestion and enhance pleasure and passion.

THEOBROMINE - A mild stimulant that helps improve focus and concentration and increases mental calmness

Cacao is a heart opener rich in the bliss molecule. Along with the happiness and pleasure molecules, she invites you to experience more joy, bliss and peace in your life.
