Open your heart to the magic of cacao

All the information you need to begin your cacao journey

Cacao has been used for thousands of years in rituals, healing and celebrations. Its use can be traced back almost 2000 years ago by ancient tribes in Mexico and Guatemala. Cacao translates to food of the gods, and for very good reason.

Cacao is extremely nutritionally dense. It is rich in proteins, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. It has been found to have a positive effect on the brain by reducing neuro-degeneration, and preventing or even reversing cognitive decline.

Cacao is a heart opener rich in the bliss molecule. Along with the happiness and pleasure molecules, she invites you to experience more joy, bliss and peace in your life.

Cacao is chocolate in its most raw form. Unprocessed and filled with incredible vitamins, minerals and magical properties. Ceremonial cacao can open your heart, connect you into your emotional body, deepen your intuition, open up creative channels, energise, it is grounding and it can hold your intentions. Plus so much more.

I think the journey with cacao is a personal one and what you recieve from this medicine might be different to someone else. It is really a practice of tuning into how she makes you feel.

I speak about cacao as a she as she is a spirit. A plant being with feminine energy. You can ask her questions and listen for answers.

ALCHEMY CEREMONIAL CACAO

Organic. Ethically sourced. Supporting small farmers, indigenous women collective Ruk’x’ Ulew, and re-planting.

This organic cacao I source and sell is grown on an indigenous farm in Coban, Alta Verapaz and then transported to San Marcos La Laguna, Guatemala. Each bean is carefully selected to ensure only the highest quality remain, and then sun-dried. The Kaqchikel family of women gather to roast the beans over a wood fire, giving it a unique robust flavour. They sit together for hours to peel the beans by hands and put their love and high energy into the cacao. Nature doesn’t rush it’s process, so neither do these wonderful women. It takes many hours to hand peel the cacao beans, but this is the artisanal way and the way of our ancestors, meaning there is quality control over every single bean, making sure that you only receive the beans of highest quality !

100% of the profits they make go to the Mayan families who produce this ancestral medicine. Most of the women who work and create this cacao are mothers, so when you purchase cacao, you are helping to supporting their entire families.

DOSE

DAILY DOSE - 10-20g Cacao

CEREMONIAL DOSE - 35-42g Cacao

These are guidelines, ideally do not exceed 42g in one day and 220g per week. It is always best to listen to your intuition. Cacao is a powerful medicine and will guide you if you listen.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR CACAO

HOW TO MAKE CACAO BLENDER METHOD

HOW TO MAKE CACAO CUP METHOD

My Preferred way to make Cacao /

RECIPE / Warm a cup of plant milk (no dairy) in a pot on the hob (do not boil) when it has started to get hot, add in your cacao and whisk it through until smooth. I recommend adding some honey and optional extras can include: powdered ginger, cinnamon, maca or any adaptogens/spices you prefer.

When making your cacao, hold any intentions and prayers you have in your heart and send into the cacao.
