Wild Crafted Medicine Workshop - Tayport
Learn how to forage, craft and use wild plant medicines in Tayport. In a world that has lost our ancient healing methods, I am passionate about working with the abundance of healing and protective plant medicines we have on our doorstep.
We will forage around Tayport for two plants to make a winter wellbeing elixir. There will be a reasonable amount of walking involved but you are also welcome to drive between spots if you are less mobile.
We will then prepare the elixir at The Dolphin Centre and learn all about the plants and process.
You will mainly learn about two plants in Tayport that you can forage and use for medicinal tinctures, elixirs and baking, alongside any other plant friends that we see along the way. This particular tincture will be very high in vitamin C so will be beneficial for the coming winter months. Skye will share about sustainable foraging practices as well as how to identify and connect with the plants.
The elixir will be made with local raw honey so suitable for most people and children.
You will leave the workshop with:
250ml of Winter Wellbeing Elixir in an amber glass bottle. A strainer, and instructions for the final stage (2-4 weeks after the workshop). And a handout with instructions for making more when needed.
The knowledge and confidence to forage for, prepare and use the elixir.
Exchange £45
You will need to bring along:
A basket or tub for gathering your plants.
A journal and pen for taking any notes.
Gardening gloves and scissors.
Snacks and water.
